Dyan Ruiz

Dyan was born in Quezon City, Philippines, grew up in Toronto, Canada, and currently lives in San Francisco. Dyan has reported for U.S. independent media, Canadian mainstream and ethnic media, and the largest daily newspaper in the Philippines. She has a Masters degree in Journalism from Ryerson University in Toronto. Dyan has also worked as a Legislative Aide in San Francisco City Hall, a communications consultant for grassroots organizations, and as the Communications Director for a successful progressive candidate campaign for the SF Board of Supervisors.
